About the session: With increasing competition for diminishing resources, it is incumbent upon organizations to operate as effectively and efficiently as possible in order to demonstrate long-term sustainability.  Led by Dr. Sherry Eagle, Executive Director Emerita of the Institute for Collaboration at Aurora University, this seminar will focus on real world examples of successful collaborations.  Topics will include the process for establishing a successful collaboration or partnership, as well as potential pitfalls.  Participants will also be challenged to consider possible collaborations or partnerships for their organizations.

About the presenter: Dr. Sherry Eagle has had numerous roles in education, all of which culminated in her service as the Superintendent of West Aurora Schools from 1993 to her retirement in 2005.  Since that time, she has served as the Executive Director of the Institute for Collaboration at Aurora University.  Founded in 2003, the mission of the Institute for Collaboration is to unite the resources of Aurora University and the greater community in the areas of education, health and human services, business, and government to address critical community needs.  It also seeks to study and facilitate the development of collaborative leadership.
